A few short days before Texas picked up its most recent commitment, a pledge from cornerback Josh Turner, word trickled out that the UT staff has extended a verbal scholarship offer to defensive back David Jenkins. With Turner’s commitment, most felt like Texas would completely shut it down in regards to defensive back recruiting, but that might not quite be the case.
