The Southeast team dominated the second annual ESPN Rise Gridiron Kings in even more impressive fashion than last year, destroying the competition en route to shutouts in their final two games. So it’s no wonder that the top performers list from the event has a heavy Southeast feel led by Offensive MVP Nick O’Leary who was impossible to stop. Miles Onyegbule was also a highly-regarded prospect when he committed to Texas in February. In the spring he worked mainly at quarterback and fought through hamstring injuries but last weekend in Orlando for the Gridiron Kings 7-on-7 Tourney, he put his abilities on display.

The Gridiron Kings 7-on-7 tournament allowed 64 of the top prospects in the country to compete against each other, and while the event was broken up into four teams - the West, Southwest, Midwest and Southeast - it was easily dominated by one squad. Tight end Nick O’Leary helped the Southeast squad run through the competition at the event.
